Hi I’m Irina, I am so Happy You are Here
I have been practicing yoga on and off the mat for 10 years plus and have had the pleasure of hosting various workshops and instructing at a local yoga studio in my area. Shortly after I got certified with the Yoga Alliance, I completed my certification with the American Institute of Vedic Sciences as an Ayurvedic Consultant.
Me and my daughter started this studio to share how yoga has changed our lives and how it has provided me with the tools and resources to heal from thyroid autoimmune. We hope that our journey will inspire you to be a fighter and develop a robust interest in your well-being and self-discovery.

This is My Why
Thank you for joining me today and taking the time to read my story. I can assure you that no matter who you are, you will get something out of it. All my life, I was a very active person. I have been a figure skater since I was three years old and spent at least two hours a day at the gym for as long as I can remember. My memories consist of me pushing myself, and running, flexing to the point of breaking, thinking all the while that it was what I was supposed to be doing to be healthy.
As far as I was concerned, I thought I was in good shape! So, it was a big surprise when I got diagnosed with an auto-immune condition that attacks your thyroid first, makes your heart race, hands shake, and makes you lose or gain weight faster than you can imagine. At 5’1 I weighed 115 pounds at the time of my diagnosis, and about 160 pounds three months later, ouch! Many doctors told me that I had no choice but a lifetime of taking medicine, radioactive iodine treatment or surgery, and still more medication. Yes, exactly, just that, no other choice. I knew I needed something more than just changing my diet, I needed something that would heal my spirit and transform my body, something that would allow for physical exercise but also provide mental and emotional support.
Little did I know that my Yoga practice would give me all of that and more. Not only am I able to do Asanas, but in the process, I have learned that everything is connected. YOGA is the state of mind that allows for that connection to bliss. As a result, I was able to heal, but I also realized that many people just like me are looking for something more than just a physical practice. Ten years ago, now I decided it was time to take a new path. I currently help others on their journey through the body and mind. In the process, I assist others tap into a 5,000-year-old practice to find healing and live their best life.
