“May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”
This is a popular Sanskrit mantra we like to live by. It’s a simple reminder that what we do in our everyday lives matters, that our choices, both big and small, have the ability to affect the wellbeing of ALL beings.
If we say we want every being to be happy and free, then we are invited to question everything we do, how we eat, what we buy, how we speak, how we think, how we choose to spend our time, and how we choose to help others. When we pause and reflect in this way, our actions can become more intentional and more aligned with care. In this way, even small efforts can contribute to the wellbeing of all.
For us, this reflection naturally leads to finding simple ways to turn intention into action within our local community. One way we’ve chosen to do this is by offering donation-based yoga classes to support kittens at the Everett Animal Shelter. These classes help raise funds for essential needs such as medical care, food, shelter, toys, and other supplies that support animals awaiting adoption. One of these classes was recently featured in a Q13 Fox Seattle news segment.
For privacy reasons, we requested not to be filmed on camera. While the feature focused on broader community efforts, the heart of the offering remains simple: creating an accessible, welcoming space where people can come together and contribute in a meaningful way. These classes are close to our hearts and align with our intention to offer accessible wellness while supporting causes that matter to us. They are designed to be relaxed, beginner-friendly, and open to anyone who wishes to participate, with no expectation to perform or have prior experience.
