F.A.Q

This training is suitable for individuals interested in becoming yoga instructors or those seeking to begin their personal yoga journey or explore the healing aspects of Ayurveda.

The program duration is six months, but you have the flexibility to start teaching at any time. Washington State does not mandate licensing or certification for yoga instruction.

Our program comprises 200 hours of training, meeting the requirements set by Yoga Alliance. It covers various modules including practicum, alignments, pranayama, mudras, mantras, teaching methodology, professional development, introduction to Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga styles. Most assignments are completed online, making it a hybrid program.

Our program delves deeply into Ayurvedic principles, which are integral to yoga practice. With roots in the ancient Vedic Sciences, both Ayurveda and Yoga have a 5,000-year history. You’ll learn to integrate Ayurvedic principles into your yoga practice, daily routines, and more, drawing knowledge from the American Institute of Vedic Sciences.

It’s entirely optional. However, if you choose to start teaching, we offer the opportunity to reserve a spot  on our schedule for you to gain valuable experience.

Although certification isn’t mandatory for yoga studios, we’ve opted for self-registration with Yoga Alliance. This involves a rigorous program submission process to ensure comprehensive training. Upon receiving your diploma from us, you’ll be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a teacher. This accreditation provides a standard for yoga training and ensures the provision of essential safety and training information. It’s important to note that most schools and instructors have additional training beyond these requirements.

You can create an account at any time, but teaching hours can only be added after completing Yoga Alliance-accredited training that meets the standards for yoga instructor education.

Our intimate class size ensures individualized attention, eliminating the need for one-on-one scheduling. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in studio events such as hiking, customer appreciation gatherings, holiday celebrations, and more. This experience offers a unique opportunity to find your yoga community and support network.

To begin, please send a letter of acceptance to info@mahadyoga.com. In your letter, briefly introduce yourself, explain why you’re interested in enrolling, and feel free to include any additional questions you may have.
