How This Module Works

Flexible Learning Path

You can take this module on its own or as part of the full 200-hour training. Some students move through the program step-by-step, while others return to specific modules to deepen their understanding in a particular area. If you choose to complete all required modules, they will count toward your 200-hour certification. For hybrid students, select modules include in-studio components and may require scheduled studio time, which will be discussed during onboarding.

Do I need to take Modules in Order?

We recommend beginning with foundational modules like Yoga 101 to build a strong base. Modules do not need to be taken in a strict order; this flexibility is especially supportive for students who want to brush up on a specific topic or explore additional areas of study. As a Yoga Alliance–approved school, these modules can also count toward continuing education credits.

Yoga 101 Online Course Highlights

Before learning how to teach poses, you learn what yoga truly is. In this module you study the roots of yoga, how it develops over time, and the principles that guide the practice. You will be able to explain the Eight Limbs of Yoga, understand the koshas and kleshas, and explore the Yamas and Niyamas as practical guidelines for life and teaching. This is a general outline, a more comprehensive overview will be provided during orientation.

Your are Your own Boss

This training is designed to meet you where you are. You choose when to log in, how long you study, and when you’re ready to move into the next module. Life happens—and this structure allows you to stay consistent without pressure, while building the discipline and time management needed for both practice and teaching.
