Mala is Sanskrit for “garland,” and is often used to enhance spiritual practice. Mala beads have been around for thousands of years, created in India over 3,000 years ago. Our malas are double knotted and have 108 beads, the number is often described as the numerical equivalent of “Om,” one of the most important spiritual sounds in meditation.
The heart and grounding mala offers the wearer self-acceptance, forgiveness, vitality, and stability. The red beads are associated with the earth element, promoting a sense of grounding and stability. While the green beads represent the anahata chakra, or heart center, which inspires pure love, allowing us to receive and give freely. Clear beads in between weave the entire mala together, by absorbing, amplifying, and balancing your energy.
